All our Helibike trips start from Twizel and the prices includes helicopter flight, guide and transport from the finish points back to base if required. The Omahau Downhill Helibike is a half day ride on easy trails with a few steeper sections that anyone with off road bike riding experince will enjoy. The Grand Greta is a full day of fun and challenges that beginners will come away with loads of new skills and experinced riders can take on the alternate 'dare you to' routes while the others watch with camera poised to capture the action!
1. Omahau Downhill Helibike
Grade: 2 - Easy (Intermediate fitness required)
Duration: 3 hours and 30 minutes
Price: $379 per person including flight + $50 per peson bike hire (includes: GT Sanction All Mountain Bike with helmet, gloves and day pack).
A great trip for the novice mountain biker along easy tracks with panoramic views of the Mackenzie Basin and the beautiful Lakes Ohau and Pukaki. Ride the 4WD and farm tracks finishing with an hour long fast and flat ride to Twizel through the Pelennor fields Lord of the Rings film site and an optional swim in the warm Lock Cameron.

2. Grand Greta Adventure Helibike

Our premier trip. Reach the summit of Ben Ohau Peak with amazing 360 degree views over Lake Ohau over to to Mt Benmore on the other side, this feels like you're on top of the world. Bike down rocky farm track with several small stream crossings. The scenery changes from mountain to rocky gorge, through a remnant beech forest and ends up on the shores of the beautiful Lake Ohau. Cycle back to Twizel along a gravel road by the lakeside. Some of the most varied scenery and terrain you'll find on any single New Zealand Helibike experience!
